Accommodations

At the Victorian Garden Inn, you'll find the kind of thoughtful extras that melt stress and pamper in the most relaxing way. Like flowers, just-baked snacks and ice-cold soft drinks in your room, lots of thick fresh towels, bubble bath, interesting books, current magazines, and even many toiletries that might have been forgotten.

Each guest room has a private bath, clock radio/stereo, and a TV & VCR tucked away so it's available but not dominating the room. Arrangements can also be made for a phone in your room, but usually that's the main thing our guests want to avoid during their stay!

Pullman Suite

This on-going project, our fourth and final guest room, continues to progress slowly.  We still can't quite nail down an opening date, but we're pretty confident it will open sometime before November, 2006.

Our most spacious guest accommodation in the main house, this suite is special, with a theme honoring the profession of the home's first owner, David Rainsburg, who was Guthrie's Station Master for the Rock Island Railroad. When complete, we hope we will have created the illusion you are in the master bedroom of a  turn-of-the-century, custom-built private railcar; comfortable and opulent.

  • Queen size Murphy wall bed disguised as an antique armoire

  • Passenger railcar-style clerestory with ceiling fan and back-lit stained glass windows

  • Fireplace with antique mantle, mini-refrigerator

  • Two additional single Pullman berths in a railroad car "corridor" section

Main House Rates
$130.00 to $159 per night, plus tax*
*includes fresh-baked snacks and cold soft drinks in your room, and a three-course gourmet candle-lit breakfast served in the dining room.
